A quick update on the facilities. Great to see so many of you making the most of them.
Unfortunately we have had some fairly major issues with the automated pool cover on the main pool at the end of last week. The original key was removed, never to be seen since, and we have since had a major failure of the electrical control board, which we suspect was a result of the replacement key being switched back and forth between the ON/OFF settings. We know this because the pool cover was almost completely unravelled in the storage pit at the end of the pool – something the manufacturer has never seen before. We are awaiting a temporary bubble cover to try to retain heat as the days grow cooler, but the pool temperature will drop as a result.
If all members exercise common sense in looking after the facilities they will stand up to the level of use intended. Parents, again, please ensure your children are supervised.
Maintenance Log & Booking System
We have left two hard copy diaries on the bench in the clubhouse. One is marked Maintenance Log and the other is marked Booking System. Any items that require fixing or otherwise attending to can be recorded in the Maintenance Log which will be checked regularly. Please also leave your name and contact details so we can follow up with you as necessary. The diary marked Booking System is to record members’ intentions if there is an event or special occasion they wish to celebrate with family and friends and envisage using the facility. This is a courtesy system that relies on considerate use. It is important to emphasise that there is no ability to have exclusive use of any one part of the complex. As always, the swipecard holder must be in attendance and is responsible for guests.
A copy of the Usage Rules have been included inside the front cover of both of these books for your reference.
Opening Season
The main pool and children’s pool will be closed for the winter season from Monday 12 April. We anticipate opening these again at Labour weekend. The spa pool and clubhouse, gym and BBQs remain accessible for your use between 6am - 10pm year round.
Sales Days
Every second Easter brings many visitors into town for Warbirds. As a means of showcasing the subdivision we are proposing to invite the interested public to visit on the afternoons of Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Easter. We will have a sales presence on site and we invite you to come down and enjoy a free BBQ.
Being Clean & Tidy
We are arranging to have a cleaning cupboard with appropriate products installed in the near future. Please be mindful of leaving the clubrooms in a clean and tidy state after use. We encourage you to take your rubbish and recycling away with you to dispose of as part of your normal household processes.
