It was great to meet so many of you at our function last weekend. What a superb evening for a BBQ!
Pool Covers
The main pool has now had the mechanical cover installed and made operational. This is activated by a key above the stereo in the gym. The key has three settings - OPEN, CLOSE and OFF. There are instructions immediately above the key. It is very important that there is nobody in the pool while the cover is moving. The cover is slow moving, and it may take a few seconds before you see it moving. PLEASE WAIT – flicking the key between settings disrupts the cover mechanism and it may jam. The cover sits on the water. There is no breathing space underneath and the consequences of anyone being trapped under are dire. Please exercise every care in operating the cover and ensure that all members of your household using your swipe card are similarly aware.
Unfortunately the first key has already gone missing!!! We will attach by a short chain to prevent this in future, but it really is incumbent on all users to be sensible, and look after the facilities for the benefit of everyone. Parents, please monitor your kids.
The spa pool also has a metal grid cover that now comes apart in two halves. It can be lifted by one person. If you are the first to remove the cover in the morning, please place it against the fence (we will have some better posts installed shortly to lean it against). When not in use, the blue insulated covers should be left floating in the pool to conserve heat. If you are the last person using the spa pool at night please ensure both the blue insulated covers and the metal grid cover are put in place.
It is important that everyone uses these covers as intended to save electricity and keep operating costs down for everyone. It is up to the last user at the end of the day to replace all covers.
Please note also that we have ordered a life saving device which will be attached to the wall between the changing rooms.
Swipe Access to Clubrooms
Please note that the location of the swipe card reader has been shifted from the rear door to the clubrooms to the main door adjacent to the main pool.
